    Glasgow University Choral Society is a university-wide organisation. Membership is open to anyone within the wider University Community, and others by arrangement. There are no auditions (although a basic ability to sight-read may be an advantage). In a new venture, the choir will perform two concerts in one day in the RSNO Auditorium. Cameron Murdoch joined the choir in as Accompanist and Depute Conductor and is an Honours graduate in music from the University of Glasgow who also studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

This is a superb recording. It is almost sixty years since I last heard the Glasgow Orpheus Choir on a 78 rpm record, each song introduced by the mellifluous voice of Hugh Roberton.

Although I had heard all the songs all those years ago, the one that remained with me from that day to this was "All in the April evening"/5(21).

Furthermore, the Scottish enunciation and the vocal timbre are beautiful throughout. Several of the tracks feature a mezzo soprano soloist, whose name I believe was Annie Tait.
